TEL-AVIV, Israel, Feb. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Bizzabo, an Israeli startup company, announced today, February 23, 2012, that it will demonstrate its event networking mobile application that leverages Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. (QuIC)'s, a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, AllJoyn™ peer-to-peer, proximity-based communications technology at Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona from February 27-March 1.
This live demonstration will highlight how Bizzabo helps professionals discover and connect with new and relevant business contacts, including LinkedIN contacts also in attendance, at meetups, conferences, and trade-shows and how it enables event organizers to engage more effectively with their attendees. The "Steps Away" feature shows other Bizzabo users who are physically "steps away" from you. The "Company Notifier" feature allows attendees to enter a company name they wish to "follow" and as soon as a company employee is "steps away," the follower receives a notification enabling them to maximize their professional networking experience.
"It took us just a few days for our small team to integrate AllJoyn's peer-to-peer functionality and develop innovative proximity features into our application," said Bizzabo Co-Founder Alon Alroy. "Unlike regular GPS location-based solutions, AllJoyn's peer-to-peer connectivity and Wi-Fi usage enables our users to enjoy proximity-based capabilities without a server at big events, and especially at Mobile World Congress. Having this capability is simply amazing."
"Bizzabo is a great example of how a developer can quickly and easily add innovative proximity-based experiences to their application using AllJoyn," said Liat Ben-Zur, senior director of Software Strategy and Business Development for Qualcomm. "We are excited to see AllJoyn continuing to help innovative developers, like Bizzabo, further enhance their applications."
To see this compelling business networking application demonstration at Mobile World Congress 2012, please visit the Qualcomm Booth # 8B53 Hall 8 of the Fira de Barcelona from February 27 – March 1.
