GraphOn Announces GO-Global 4.5 for Windows

GO-Global 4.5 for Windows incorporates a wide range of new features and functionality

GraphOn Corporation (OTCBB: GOJO), a worldwide developer of remote application access and Web-enabling software solutions, today announced the immediate availability of GO-Global 4.5 for Windows.

“This version of GO-Global for Windows provides enhanced, enterprise-class functionality,” said Christoph Berlin, GraphOn’s vice president of product management and marketing. “We’ve added powerful new features, integrated GO-Global Gateway into the main GO-Global Host software, and greatly simplified the overall installation and deployment process.”

GO-Global for Windows delivers centralized Windows applications to virtually any location, platform, and operating system. GO-Global Host software runs on a central Windows server along with the Windows applications. GO-Global Clients run on each local, remote or mobile device, enabling fast and easy user access to the central applications. GO-Global Clients support Windows, Linux, UNIX, Apple OS X and iOS, Android, and any Web browser. The Windows applications retain 100% of their features and branding.

GO-Global 4.5 for Windows incorporates a wide range of new features and functionality, including:

  • Integrated GO-Global Gateway. GO-Global Gateway (previously available as a separate product called GO-Global Cloud Server) is now included as a standard, no additional cost feature of GO-Global for Windows. GO-Global Gateway can optionally be deployed in larger enterprise environments to provide a high-availability, secure gateway to multiple GO-Global Hosts.
  • Application-based Load Balancing. If a Windows application exists on multiple GO-Global Hosts, GO-Global Gateway will now automatically start the application on the Host with the lightest load. This new feature joins GO-Global’s existing Host Cluster Load Balancing feature that balances the workload among multiple Hosts based on CPU usage, memory usage, and number of active sessions.
  • Active Directory Support. Allows administrators to easily control access to the centralized Windows applications based on user groups.
  • User Sandbox. Allows administrators to limit the applications and files that users can access.
  • Smart Card Support. Windows-based smart card authentication is now supported, based on the ISO 7816-13 API standard.
  • Client Keyboard Input Method Editor (IME). Lets users switch keyboard languages on the fly while running a GO-Global session. There is no need to install additional keyboard layouts on the GO-Global Host. This feature is supported on Windows, Linux, and Mac Clients.
  • Mobile Client Support. iOS and Android mobile client access to GO-Global Gateway will be available soon (mobile access to GO-Global Host is currently supported).
  • Simplified Installation. The installation of GO-Global for Windows has been streamlined using role-based installation with automatic setup.

“With this new release, we’ve not only enhanced the performance and functionality of GO-Global, we’ve also made the solution easier to deploy and more cost-effective than ever by integrating GO-Global Gateway into our core GO-Global for Windows solution,” said Mr. Berlin. “GO-Global Gateway can now be easily deployed as a 'role' during the standard installation, as opposed to having to purchase and install a separate product.”
